Our rack exchange service - have our ready-to-go refurbished ORIGINAL DeLorean rack delivered to you fast (from "same-day"), then send us your old rack in your own time.
Refurbishment includes replacing bushes, gaiters, cleaning up/painting and resetting the pre-load - although the paint used is very thin...! Various bits are probably scraped off already. You might wish to paint some more once you have it in. Please note that if the ram or pinion is worn out beyond tolerance, causing too much play then your rack will not be suitable for refurbishment.
Not included, but highly recommended are a new set of tie/track rod ends. You will need to buy these separately.
You click "buy now" and pay. Then (depending on your location) from the weekday after next you will receive our refurbished rack in our box. In your own time, if you are located in England or Wales (or lower Scotland), let us know the collection date for your rack, put it in our box, print out our pre-paid label that we will email you, put it on the box and a courier will pick it up, or you can drop it off at any Post Office. If you are outside of this area you will need to arrange shipping to the mainland UK yourself. If the rack is refurbishable then we will refund £100GBP (or equivalent) to you within 5 working days of receipt. If it isn't, but is complete then we will refund you £20GBP (or equivalent) instead and recycle or reuse certain parts.
This option is a great option if your car is stuck in the garage after failing an MOT due to steering rack play.
