Stainless Louvre Gas Strut (single)

1 single high quality British made gas strut for the rear louvres / sunshade, in stainless steel, complete with 2 x 108109 safety pins. Featuring a bespoke dampening action which significantly slows the speed of travel as the louvres open towards the end for a much smoother action than you will find with other struts - works great in all weathers. Exclusively made for us, after many months of testing and perfecting.

Normally ordered in pairs, or as part of our cost-saving set of 6 (see the separate listing).
Also available in black powdercoated steel.

This is a quality hand-made item, there will be minor cosmetic imperfections, although being stainless you are able to refinish these if required with a blending pad. Our struts have the minimum of markings on, other than our discrete logo and the required regulatory warnings.

Installation is as simple as “popping off” your old strut (remove the safety pins first), then removing the safety pins on the new strut and popping it on (then re-install the safety pins). Install with the cylinder part uppermost for best results.
The 2 halves twist (the actual piston can twist) which may be necessary to do if they are not dead straight. This is best done with 2 adjustable spanners on the ball ends (clockwise).

Supplied with 2 new 106697 strut connectors with SP10684 nuts - but if you wish to keep your existing connectors simply remove the safety pins and firmly pull the ball connectors out of the sockets.
