Overview
Custom made from hard Delrin plastic to give you unparalleled length of service - this is an exact, improved, copy of the original bushing that goes inside the original steering rack, complete with correct notches on the sides. Used by us on all of our steering rack rebuilds.
This goes on the passenger (right hand) side, on the inside of the steering rack - not in the steering column or anywhere else!
This is only suitable for original steering racks. 1 required per car

Please note that this is an interference fit and is deliberately tight! After putting the bushing in you will find it is very difficult to get the ram back in - you may find it easier to very slightly file/rub down the inside of this bush to aid installation. To do this, first install the bushing (with something like a mallet and socket), and "screw" the ram into, then out of the bushing. Use the marks made by the threads as a guide, and gently use a Dremel sanding drum attachment, or file, to remove just enough material (evenly) to fit the ram easier.
