Overview
Brand new 120 amp alternator - from D Europe (an unrelated and fully independent aftermarket parts manufacturer/supplier), supplied with connector and new (original sized) bolt with nut, works with all cars - uses the original alternator mount, original sized bolt, fits correctly, grounds correctly, and requires no modifications - with a significantly higher power output than the originals, and a maximum output of over 120A. Provides high amperage even at low revs.
The single wire from this connector connects to the brown/yellow (dashboard light) wire. Some early cars also have a brown "sense" wire as part of the wiring harness, which goes to the blue plug near to the ignition coil. This wire was cut off by the factory during production, and was not used with the later alternators, and is still not used with this one.
It is essential that the battery light in the instrument cluster is NOT an LED, and must be fully working (i.e. an incandescent bulb that lights up when initially turning the ignition on).
