The DeLorean Go Door, Louvre and Luggage Compartment Strut Set

A complete set of 6 high quality British made gas struts for the doors, the rear louvres and the front luggage compartment / hood, in black powdercoated steel, complete with 108109/108110 safety pins. Featuring a bespoke dampening action which significantly slows the speed of travel as they extend towards the end for a much smoother action than you will find with other struts - works great in all weathers. Exclusively made for us, after many months of testing and perfecting.

All items are available separately, this kit includes:
- (2) 100592B Black Door Strut complete with (4) 108110 Safety Pin
- (2) 108209B Black Louvre Strut complete with (4) 108109 Safety Pin and 4 new 108313/106697 strut connectors with SP10037 nuts
- (2) 105063B Black Hood Strut complete with (4) 108109 Safety Pin and 4 new 106697 strut connectors with SP10684 nuts

These are quality hand-made items, there will be minor cosmetic imperfections. Our struts have the minimum of markings on, other than our discrete logo and the required regulatory warnings.

Installation is as simple as “popping off” your old strut (remove the safety pins first), then removing the safety pins on the new strut and popping it on (then re-install the safety pins). Install with the cylinder part uppermost for best results.
The 2 halves twist (the actual piston can twist) which may be necessary to do if they are not dead straight. This is best done with 2 adjustable spanners on the ball ends (clockwise).

4 of the struts are supplied with new strut connectors and nuts - but if you wish to keep your existing connectors simply remove the safety pins and firmly pull the ball connectors out of the sockets.
In some rare cases minor adjustments to the door torsion bars might be required for optimum lift speed if this has been done previously to compensate for too weak or too strong struts.
