Overview
UPDATED LATE 2023 VERSION - NOW EASIER-TO-INSTALL AND SEVERAL IMPROVEMENTS TO THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND LONGEVITY - IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DISPATCH.
Please also see the installation kit for this, which is listed on a separate page for ease of customisation.

As pictured - stainless steel freeflow exhaust system complete with manifolds, made exclusively for us in the UK. After selling hundreds of what is known worldwide as the "UK Exhaust" we have now further improved on the design and the quality of metal used. The system has NO catalytic converter and consists of a dual free-flowing design, rather than the original single pipe. The benefits include - better performance, longer lasting, looks better, and more importantly sounds better! (video above).

This is a high quality and bespoke British made product - supplied with a satin / unfinished industrial finish on the back box - so note this won't necessarily be cosmetically perfect - there will be a few minor handling marks and minor scratches on it since this is not polished, and easily refinished with a blending pad.

Also note that in most cases you will need to use a drill to very slightly widen the holes in the 3 rubber mounting bushes on your car by a maximum of only 0.3mm as the 3 mounting bars on these exhausts are (deliberately) slightly thicker than the stock ones - and possibly bent at slightly the wrong angle to match your car since each car is slightly different, particularly the top one - which in many cases won't fit your car at all (and isn't needed with this design) - heating these bars up will help adjust these if needed. Care should be taken during installation to make sure the tailpipes are a suitable distance away from the fascia - too close or touching will result in a warped rear bumper. As with anything on a DeLorean, expect to be doing a bit of wiggling, hammering and bending...! - no two cars are the same, and a bit of "adjustment" will be needed, although this is now made a lot easier with the braided flexible sections on each link pipe, which now ease installation and improve longevity.

Comes with the oxygen sensor port in the same place as the original. Use the supplied clamps with silicone on the 2 slip-on parts, the back box/muffler attaches with triangular gaskets and bolts/nuts (supplied). Replacement triangular gaskets are always held in stock.

You should at the very least replace the manifold gaskets when installing this, but most people usually also purchase (all stocked by us and listed on a separate listing for convenience of customisation) 6 manifold gaskets, and usually 24 studs, 24 washers, 24 brass nuts, and this is a good time to replace the oxygen sensor, the 3 rubber exhaust mounts, the large heat shield - click here for the complete kit.

After installation you will want to adjust the fuel/air mixture - if you haven't already got a mixture adjustment screw bung then you'll want one of these (see below). The simple technique is - turn screw right until the engine dies, then turn screw left until the engine dies, then turn it back to the middle of those 2 points, and insert the bung. Not essential, but this would be a good time to overhaul/check the primary pressure regulator in your fuel distributor (if you have never rebuilt it) to make sure it is still getting the factory original pressure of 5.4bar - see the K-Jet shim kit and the DeLorean Workshop Manual for how to do this.
