Overview
Tried and tested and hugely popular all over the world, this is the legendary DeLorean Go inner door seal, the big rubber weatherstripping that forms a loop around the door opening. Made for us in the UK from the highest quality EPDM rubber with a metal inner. You will need 2 of these per car if you want to do both doors and you want them to match. This is the very best and longest lasting DeLorean inner door seal you will find anywhere, don't just take our word for it! Check out the many reviews on the various forums worldwide. This version does not need the additional SP10497 clips often required with other seals.
Use a rubber mallet to tap on the seal all round (make sure it is on properly), use some masking tape to lay the seal bulb over toward the windshield and T panel area, use tin snips to trim off the excess and put some silicone grease on the seal (warning - these seals are tough - test cut on an end bit first!). Open and close the door a few times, then let the door sit closed for an hour (or overnight if you prefer) to allow the seal to settle. Open and wipe off the silicone grease.
Tech tip - when installing these seals it is a good time to check the adjustment of the door striker pins, as incorrect positioning can cause the door to bind on the seal and will eventually lead to premature wear of the seal. The test is to slowly close the door and listen if the pins both catch at the same time. If one catches before the other then they will need adjusting.
